The STORE Summer Schools are two-week intensive and independently organised courses in which students are invited to explore architecture, art practice and urbanism.
I played a leading role in planning and teaching the 2016 course in London, in which students we asked to examine what makes people feel “at home” in one of London’s most diverse public spaces and then to stage a unique one-night “TV Dinner” event.
For this they collaboratively designed and built various urban interventions including a public remote control, dinner trays, seating and a large outdoor television featuring a range of ‘channels’ created by local film-makers and artists which the public could surf.
STORE Projects is a London-based association of artists, architects and designers composed of three core elements: an educational programme of art and architecture courses, wide-ranging public events and exhibitions, and a socially engaged design practice. I have been an active member of STORE since 2013, helping co-ordinate the residency and education programs, including numerous workshops as well as The STORE Warsaw 2015 Summer School.
